2020 Marching Band Season Information

The 2020 Season was cancelled due to the Pandemic. This Site is undergoing revision. It will be relaunched when ready.

2019 Season Recap

Last summer, the LILA Marching Band finished its second season on a high note. The Band performed in seven different parades and competitions: the Rum River Festival Parade (Princeton, MN), the '49ers Day Parade (Fridley, MN), the Harry Wenger Band Festival (Owatonna, MN), the Lake Waconia Band Festival (Waconia, MN), the Blaine Festival Parade (Blaine, MN), the Vikingland Band Festival (Alexandria, MN), and the Forest Lake 4th of July Celebration Parade (Forest Lake, MN). The band took home plenty of awards, including the 3rd place trophies in Class A from Princeton and Fridley, the 4th place trophy from Alexandria, and Forest Lake's own "Most Entertaining Unit" award.

At the end of season banquet, the staff distributed the yearly awards. This seasons winners were:

  • Member of the Year - Rylee Bain

  • Most Improved - Dani Meier

  • Rookie of the Year - Paige Duffy

2018 Season Recap

In 2018, the LILA Marching Band had a extraordinarily successful season. Beyond that, it was the first ever season of marching band for LILA. In only their first season, the LILA Marching Band took home the 3rd Place trophy for Marching Band in their class at the Minnesota State Fair across its entire duration!

At the end of the season, the banquet was held and staff distributed the six student awards. This year, students were awarded as follows:

  • Member of the Year - Sara Engel

  • Most Improved - McKenna Lindgren

  • Rookie of the Year - Noah Shasky

  • Color Guard Member of the Year - Bre Domino

  • Color Guard Most Improved - Lexi Buhl

  • Color Guard Rookie of the Year - Karli Briggs
