The LILA Concert Band is the highest grade level based performing ensemble available at LILA, available to students in grades 9-12 who have completed a prior band placement at LILA. The Concert Band prides itself on performing a variety of music including but not limited to core wind ensemble repertoire, broadway show tunes, orchestral transcriptions, soundtrack music, and chamber works. The Concert Band performs three or more concerts per year and participates in the Minnesota State High School League Section 4A Music Competition. This year (despite the Pandemic), they managed to have a Wonderful Winter Concert in February, 2021. They are preparing for their Spring Concert on May 20th at 7:00pm.
